Hey guys I was just wondering what kind of features an 02 or 03 RSX type-s has in comparison to a base model. I'm in the market for one and I'm just trying to learn as much as I can before I get one. Also I was wondering what the suspension is like on the type-S and what kinds of modifications you guys would suggest to me to do to it.

 

Slightly sportier suspension tuning and a VERY different engine & transmission on the Type-S. Any other differences are things that an RSX owner knows more about than I do.

Recommended suspension mods? Depends on how fast you drive it...

 

Suspension: The Type S has larger swaybars. It may have slightly different shock valving and I am not sure on the springrates, but I know for sure the S has larger swaybars.

Springs are harder and the valving is different to accomodate the springs. The sways are larger too. As far as modding, it really depends what you want to do with it. ie drag, autox, track, street, rally....

 

If you look at them stock the type s wil drive circles around the base, but since they are the same chassis modding it shouldn't be that difficult. Like stated it all depends on the cars eventual purpose. There are plenty of options out there though.
