Ok, just got this engine and replaced some cracked vacuum lines that caused a surging idle. Then driving on the highway coming to a stop the damn thing died. Going to do a tune up tomorrow and wondered if I can use the 88-91 CRX SI ignitor and coil. And honda dealers stock some acura parts right? I need integra spark wires. thanks for the help.

 

change:
timing belt
water pump
tensioner
all seals
and complete tune up
hmmmmm i think thats about it..

OBD O. There's a mileage marker on the timing belt cover of 100,080 Km. I'm guessing that's when the timing belt was changed and it looks ok but I'm going to change it before winter. I'm mostly looking for things to replace so it won't die on me on the highway again.

 

You should have done that stuff before you started it up, IMO. Having seen some pictures of the coolant passages in some of the imported engines there is no way I would start it up w/o doing the above list of things.
