Default flywheel spacer? ***PIC**

my DOHC ZC (1990) motor came automatic

im changing the clutch and i took off the flywheel and this spacer is there, is it needed, what is it for, did i put it back on by mistake when it should only be used with automatic torque converters?

reason im asking is it doesn't say anything about it in the manual i dont think and my friends newer ek d series engine didn't have one to my knowledge.

no you don't need that. it goes in front of the flex plate, its kinda like a big washer to spread the load of the bolts out so they don't rip thought the metal.
