Default What causes bad alignment?

I cannot seem to get my car to go straight it veers to the left. I Have a 90 CRX on H&R lowering springs 1.8" drop. SPC camber kit. I did the string technique and evrythign is straight. I even tried adjusting them the oppisite direction and it still veers to the left. It has always wanted to go left since I got it so I started thinkling maybe its not the toe. But maybe its som, ething else. What else could it be?

Toe doesnt cause a pull EVER. It might make one worse since the tire will be fighting the pavment more, but its never the cause. Honestly using strings and homemade ghetto methods are not the best way, and chances are your just gonna mess **** up worse.

Castor is more than likely your problem. However, FWD cars arent affected much by caster, normaly you would need to be a degree off to get a pull. and If it goes to the left you need to be alot more than a degree off. At that point it should be visable. TRUE pulls on Fwd cars are normaly from a bad tire. A true pull is when you let the wheel go while driving the steering wheel will turn in the direction the car is moving, and wont stop turning till the wheel reaches its lock.

Camber doent cause pulls unless its very far off, like -2degs on one side and 2degs on the other, and even then its just gonna follow the crown in the road alot more for the most part.

My advise to you is, take it to a profesional shop. Backyard Alignments are pretty unsafe, and when they are done by someone who has no concept of alignment angles, its just stupid. Goodluck

My left front tire has a screw in it and leaks air slowly. Also My car sems to sit to the left and the finger gap on the left is smaller than the right. Would that have anything to do with it?

Yes low tire pressure will causes pulls or drifts in that direction. As far as the Gap goes, while it is a very unacurate way to measure Caster, that fact that you have a smaller gap ( if its not caused by a misaligned fender or something along those lines.) Is one Visible way to tell if you have neg Castor on one side of the car.

So yes those to things right there, are more than likely the cause or your problem.
As far as the Castor goes there is not adjustment for it on our cars. So that means you ether gotta buy a new strut rod, and LCA or a Adjustable UCA.
