Default What causes wheel hop?

I recentley change my tires to some AVS ES100's and Shifting @ 8500 RPM causes my car to hop pretty bad. How do I reduce this ? MY car is a Stock 99-00 Civic SI with I/H/E

the engine moving causes wheel hop

those engine dampners... help

http://www.getnrg.com/nrgdamper_bl.php

or traction bars

http://www.modacar.com/product...DATRB/

those products are just examples ;P

edit: these are good either way

The Z10 Radius Arm Traction System can offer your car increased durability, improved traction, lower 60' times and will completely eliminate wheel-hop. It's specially engineered design provides extra stability, enabling you to not only launch harder but to retain complete suspension travel, no binding! Suitable for both road and drag racing, Z10's Radius Arm Traction System retains factory ground clearance and allows for caster adjustment.
-Completely Eliminate Wheel-hop!
-Bolt-On Traction Uses Factory Bolt Holes
-Launch Harder, Lower 60’ times
-Retains Complete Suspension Travel—No Binding
-CNC Machined Components, TIG Welded Crossmember
-Retains Factory Ground Clearance
-Allows for Caster Adjustment

edit 2: I think wheel hop has to do with the engine mounts also, you could try putting 3m window weld, where the mounts go I have to find that thread off of clubsi... except it seems like there down

stiffer engine mount will reduce wheel hop, but poly bushing(for your suspension) would help as well.

soggy mounts or not having the a/c bracket tq mount installed is the problem. if it occurs during shifts. traction bars will help if it does it bad at launch, but stiffer mounts help the most.
