Default Short shifter

Aside from buying the actual short shifter( the one I will be using is skunk2,unless you want to recommend something else) what else needs to be purchased to make it work in my 97 RS

They replace the stock gummi bear bushing for a better, more solid feel when shifting. I have a skunk2 short shifter w/ bushing and shift **** and I love the feel of the shifter over stock.

The skunk2 is only slightly (1" or so) shorter in height than the stock GSR/LS dual bend shifter, but it has much shorter shift throws. As for the skunk2 *****, a downside to them is that they burn your hands in the summer and freeze them in the winter.

yeah i hate that when a person sits in my car, i inform them i have a short shifter, and they are like "its not that short". i mean seriously come on lol. no im running a ebay short shifter with some nuespeed bushing and thats the best shifting combo around. tried the skunk 2 and the nuespeed short shifter (both like well over $150) and they just dont compare to the ebay shifter i got. but def. do it. its the best $10 ive spent on my DA so far, ill tell you that much (well besides the always needed KY jelly/trojan condom stash under the passenger seat, HA)

WTF? Hahaha Anyways, along with the short shifter, you should try out Omni power's new clutch master clyinder and tell us all what you think. IMO to have a true "short shift" both the clutch pedal travel and shift throw have to be equally cut down. Just a simple short shifter wont techinically make the shift any faster, just more fun to drive.

Has anyone actually tried the Clutch Master Cylinder out? Is it easy to install? I'm looking to pick one up in the near future, just looking for a little more info about it.

Check out TWM Performance. I bought there short shifter and classic ****. I went with the shortest shifter possible, 3 inch drop. Its very damn low haha but I like it. I also have energy suspension bushings. I'll never go back to stock. I'll post a pic if you want.

the first one i bought was an ebay one and it snaped in half after 3 months when i was shifting into third. B&M FTW!!!!!! double bend about $70-80 best money ever spent. Also got a set of energy suspension shifter bushings. My DA has never shifted better.
