Is there some other way of telling if the motor if stolen besides going off the vin... since this block doesnt have the vin tag attached? where it says B18c1, under that has a few numbers.... can I call the local pd and read those numbers to them to see if its legit? any info would help. Thanks

alright i'm slightly confused here, i'm gonna start from the beginning, did you buy this motor off someone or find it in a junk yard? or did someone give it to you? whats the deal? are you doing a motor swap for you car or something and your wondering if this motor was stolen??

You could potentially have your engine repo'ed by the police if it is stolen....

Keep your paperwork and just learn from experience.

You're all idiots. Stolen motors come from stolen cars. OUR CARS!. They have to steal it from somewhere, and the more you support a thief, the more they'll steal.

Someone watch these noobs. They're probably theives themselves, casing cars on H-T.

yeah cause a D-series is a bad thing, try saying that too about 50% of every guy on this website, there are "D-series" pumping 300 wheel, not to mention, not everyone has a grand or 2 laying around to go and buy a DOHC motor at the drop of a hat when they are working full time, going to school and there motor blows.

oh by the way, what was the first turbo kit that HKS made for Honda? oh it was a JDM D-series motor.
