I want to relocate my HU into my glove box but am concerned that it will get too hot and damage the player.

Am I worrying too much or should I think of another place to hide it?

 

In my old CRX, I had a Indash TV, and I had to relocate my CD Player.
I just moved it down bein the center console.
I didnt even mount it, didnt have to. I was going to, but since it never moved I didnt bother.
Good place for it as the wires reach no prob and it's easily accessible.

As for your ?, IDK if that would be a prob...

 

i had a friend put his in the glove box in his 95 civic and he never said he had any problems with heat or damage to the player or anything.

 

my friend also has his in the glove box, due to wanting to keep the oem radio for apperiance reasons, and he has not ever had any problems with it, but gocrxgo's idea is not bad

 

I had it in my 89 sedan. It was great till you wanted to change cds while driving.

 

We've installed radio's in the glove boxes of many cars & have never seen any problem's caused by glove box heat. I SAY DO IT. Your good
