Default Tranny grinds only when clutch is pressed

My tranny has been buzzing funny when I push the clutch in. It kinda rattles when pushed to its normal emgaugement point but when I push it all the way to the floor it makes a wicked grinding and scraping noise. Whats the deal, I've got enough fluid in the clutch resivior and bled it a few months ago, and the clutch itself is in perfect condition. it makes all these noises when I at a stop and I can't tell if it does when I'm moving (tanabe exhaust )

you sure the clutch is in perfect condition? did you recently just replace it?

could be your throwout bearing as well. or something came loose (friend had a flywheel come loose)

could it be the marcel spring (the ones in the pressure plate)? My mechanic said that might cause the noise.

Well I think I got your same issue, because all of a sudden it's hard to get in gears and at times makes noise in first and reverse while not moving at all. When you get in gear the clutch still bites good, I don't race my car ever.

I think it's the spring that came loose or something like that. I just ordered a new clutch and flywheel set. I figured, if I gotta take of the tranny and fix the proble I might as well replace the clutch and call it a day....well 5 years or so.....lol.

Marcel springs are in between the friction discs of the clutch and the hub flange.

The pressure plate fingers are called a diaphragm.

If you pull of the transmission, you should visually see something wrong considering the amount of noise you're getting:

clutch chatter
flywheel is loose
throwout bearing is dead

Could be one or the other but I don't think it's the flywheel being loose. How do I know...well only my stupid a$$ forgot to tighten the flywheel on my bros motor and the freakin motor shakes like crazy. It shook so hard that it bent the valves on the head....

I think your clutch is shatter or the one of the spring came loose.
