Default How can I get picture on my indash monitor without e-brake being on

I just had a In Dash monitor/dvd player installed at best buy and of course they have to do everything by the book so now I can not watch dvd's without the e-brake being on. I can hear them but no picture on the screen. what do I have to do to disable this feature. can I just disconnect a wire or is there a way to fool it into thinking the e-brake is on all the time without driving around with the e-brake pulled all the time.

Yes, please tell this person how to do it so that he can watch Initial D or the bootlegged copy of 3f3f while driving and kill himself, or better yet, kill someone else because he was watching Bow Wow instead of watching the road.

Make sure you keep your eyes on the road and don't kill anyone. I been doing this for years and if you are a noob it can be very distracting.

Hey everyone knows its breaking the law, Let him get the ticket. If he hurts someone there is nonething we can do about it. It going to get done with out our help. He could take it anywere and pay a little and it will get done. Hell he could look at the dam instructions and figure it out. There no secret spells or magic to do it. But why tell someone to do something real stupied that could damage there headunit. That makes no sence. Its straight wrong. How would you feel if you went somewere to get advice on something that you did not know about. And that person didn't beleive in what you were doing and they told you how to go about you goal all wrong. And it broke your stuff. I bet you would not feel to happy and would wanna go bash some heads. Giving fake information like that, if you know is wrong makes you look like a noob. And about the law, people need to look at who they vote for. And if there is more rights being taken then its up to the people to rally againts it. Thats why we vote. Remember karma is a bitch

Just so everyone knows it's not for me to watch while I'm driving it's so my daughter can watch when she's in the car. Also for all your jokesters, I have installed plenty of regular cd players just never one of these indash monitors. I'm sure I could've took the whole thing out and wasted half a day or payed someone 50 bucks but I was hoping someone could help so I could do it , and in a timely manner.

Rrrriiiggghhhttt... I'm sure the police will consider that the video within view of the driver is for her benefit when they're writing your citation. I'm glad to see that you're thinking of her, even though you're endangering her safety while she's in the car because we all know that you will never succumb to the distraction of full motion video... And the darwin award goes to....

I knew he was playing and joking, But fcm you got to see some of the people that come to my home or business for me to help them from here have no clue of what they are doing. And I will say at least all of them should not be installing 12 volt audio. Some just over looked minor stuff. And I could see most of them trying that info because they are clueless and gulluable. Its kind of hard to see behind the computer screen to see what kind of guy he is. Most look to us for advice. I wasn't trying to jump down anyones neck. Thanks for clearing this up, I'll edit my post. I can't lie I watch my dvd while driving. But most of the time I am just listining to it with the moniter closed or if I am show boating. Or its a movie I seen a 1000 times so there no need to look, And I'll take my ticket like my last two. which is over 5 years ago. Lets go back to the saying that most people say on here. " Why don't you just do us a favor and go shoot yourself". Can't nobody be that stupied, lol hummm okay there are some, lol.

I hear you, but sometimes some of the no0bs just don't take no for an answer, [or whatever advice is given] so you have to ask them the ridiculous to see if they even read the advice they are given.
As for someone doing something dangerous, [watching a DVD while driving] that's not dangerous, that's just plain stupid, [but so is smoking] but is it any worse then talking on the phone, reading or listening to your tunes cranked to the point it hurts, we make decisions every day that may turn out dangerous, as you have noticed, some people should not be installing their own car audio/security/video, it can turn out to be dangerous.

I have no problem telling people just wire up the in-dash DVD like they tell you to, and then just back off on the E brake adjustment a little, so you can set the E brake one "click" without it applying the brakes. It's their responsibility to drive safely.

Back to the issue, I did think you missed what EBP_SI was saying. I thought about it for a sec., thinking some no0b would try that, but then no, nobody is that dumb, or maybe they are? 94

Since you're a noob and obviously can't figure out how to quote, and since I'm the only person posting in this thread that's from New York, I can only assume that you're talking about me...

So WTF does your comment mean?? Just "how" am I?

I knew I should buy this shirt, just for people like you: http://www.tshirthell.com/stor...d=704
