Default Need to bleed brakes after pad install?

I need to take my brake pads out and put some stuff on the backs of the pads to stop the squeaking. After doing this do I need to bleed the brake system? Will it be necessary?

Not if you do it routinely any ways. I change pads about 8 times per year. When I go back to the street pads from my track setup I don't bother with it. As long as you end up putting on thicker pads than you take off,,,ie you have to force fluid OUT of the calipers....you don't have too.

On the other hand if you don't bleed them for track stuff several times per year, then yes I would bleed the system

just my 2 cents

No, it's not necessary.

However, it's never a bad idea...
