Default Ebay Seats or Reupholster?

I was wondering if anybody knows anything about these Ebay seats that come with universal sliders? After shipping they would be like 280 while having my wife's Sol seats reupholstered would be like 250 a seat.

Any suggestions?

I've always wondered how those seats would hold up in an accident.
Get the stock sol seats redone, or find a set of nice used ones.

get the stock ones redone, then you can have them done however you want. But thats just my idea. i work at a car dealership, so im getting mine done through ny work. It will be worth the money to get them redone.

i bought real recaros that looked like these and they fit well. the brackets and sliders that bolted on were from Wedge Engineering, nothing else out on the market unless you custom modify. i also had reupholstered sol seats, that too was nice, just pricey.

with seats (as with most things automotive), you get what you pay for... those things fold like lawn furniture in an accident

i have personally bought some ebay seats for my del sol. not these exact ones but some "nex" ones. u get what u pay for. i was actually rear ended with these seats in my car and they did hold up good but it wasn't like a horrible accident i was at a dead stop and a durango hit me at about 15mph. i recently bought some del sol seats and plan on getting them reupholstered. in my opinion if u have a del sol reupholter your seats because those seats are perfect for your car.

i saw my friend sean's vehicle after he was t-boned at an intersection (red light runner)... had some knock off recaro's in the vehicle, after t-boned hit a car in the lane next to him... seat didn't cause any injury or anything to the driver (but had quite a mean "gangster-lean" to it)... there were a couple pix up on here a while back of somebody's NEX-Tech seats after an accident as well

Well, I'm gonna call around and see what I can find as far as reupholstering but I really don't feel like they would be worth an extra 300-500 dollars.
