gage clusters
no, 88-89 and 90-91 are shaped different- 90-91 are more rounded on the top. Also you will hear that the clusters are all plug and play. they are not. If you are swapping clusters try to get the harness plugs so you can rewire your cars dash harness to match the cluster you are installing. To make things easier for yourself, if you have an88 or 89 model try to get the same years as a replacement, same for 90-91 models. other modifications have to be made if for example you put an88-89 cluster in a 90-91 car. good luck!
Yeah, things like the hazard switch change locations between the years. In 88-89, the switch is on the steering column. 90-91 versions have that switch on the cluster housing. Plus the defroster switch is in a different location & will have to have the wires lengthened to reach. It may not be too much trouble to convert, but do some research & be prepared. Rewiring these things looks to be pretty easy since they are quite simple. Also, wiring diagrams go a long way...
hmmm well I only have a 91 and an 88. also I found out that the brake pistons are different. lol. so I took the whole thing off and changed it all out. since I have brembo drums and disks on my 91 I wanted to use them. was a pain in my rear to do but me and my daughter got it done.
