Default thread and sleeve coilovers

could someone tell me how they adjust? how do you know if you're adjusting the ride height evenly?

i know there's a lot of you with adjustable gc's - can't you just tell me the method of adjustment? it's a very simple question isn't it?

It's really easy. You first loosen the collar bolt and either twist up or down. How do you know if you adjust evenly? What I do is use some kinda reference point...or just count the threads.

hey someone replied! thanks man. so in that case, it would definitely be worth it to get adjustables rather than regular lowering springs.

I think they are worth it. On my previous car (98 coupe), I first had sportline springs. After a while...i didn't like the ride height....so I ended up going with GCs. A lot of people ask "what springs will give me this drop?" But they are all approximate drops. With coilovers, you'll be able to fine tune the height to ur liking. On my current hatch...I have GCs with custom rates and Koni Yellows and are great.

yeah i know about the whole "settling" thing with regular springs...i'm on a budget so i'm going with kyb agx's...not sure which coilovers to get now...gc's are pretty pricey...i found some at nopi by "hp racing"(?) for $140. ever heard of them?

I got my GCs for 400 two years ago. No doubt you could pick some up much cheaper these days. I got them to replace the lowering springs I had before. GCs are hella ninja. With a set of nice KYBs you will be tearing through the corners. The adjustablity is invaluble.
