the other day i started my car and then looked underneath to see if the fuel pump wires were coming loose(came loose a couple days ago) i grabed the pump 2 see the wires and the car shut off..(stupid idea now that i think of it)now wen i try 2 start the car the fuel pump wont cut on n the mpfi lite wont come on..my ecu wont lite up and everything else works...is it the main relay or my ecu......please help?????

 

could be either, im guessing cpu power/ground

 

i checked the wires for power running into the ecu and the relay and theres only one wire getting showing power on each...???how do i check the power/ground to see if that it?wat is cpu??

 

when you roll the key to ignition (not start) does the red light on the cpu come on?

 

See if the relay clicks when you turn the key.

 

it doesnt lite up at all..???i read somewhere that it should lite up wen u putt the key there 2 tell u that its workin...would this lite not come on if the main relay is bad and its not getin power to my ecu????or is my ecu just fried???

 

the main relay routes all the power to your car. If it is bad or failing the cpu wont come on.

 

nah you probably popped a fuse, check them.

 

i checked all the fuses in hte car and the main fuses under the hood..all have power..im goin to order a main relay 2day from advance..(my work) and c if thats the problem.i aprecaite all the help that was given to me on htis subject.ill let u all no if it was the problem....

 

i couldnt order the part but i spliced the wire on my ecu and the one in hte main relay that was for the power and put it to the only other wires in each that had power and everything works...just have to manually pull off wire to turn off the fuel pump and to turn off the ecu...so i still need the main relay but have to live like this till i can get one.......thank u till next time(probably b 2maro wen something else goes wrong)
