I have an appointment now to get my windows tinted on Friday. I was curious of two things. One: what % do you guys recommend I get tinted? The legal limit in Minnesota is 50%, he said a common choice is 35%. Is 35 good, or should I go darker? Or I suppose it's all up to my own preference, but I just wanted to know what was a good dark tint without going so dark that I get pulled over for it.
Also, is it common to tint the top part of the windshield, I think that's called 'eyebrow' tinting or something to that effect? Or is that gay, or cool what is the deal with it? I was going to ask the place when I made the appt. but I forgot.

Yea well it's been incredibly hot here, upper 90's with a fair amount of humidity. Plus I plan on putting a very expensive radio in the car, so I don't want people to be able to see it as easily.

Ok, so 20ish seems to be the trend. What about the eyebrow tinting thing, anyone got any ideas about that? Is it a common thing to do, or does ANYbody do it, or what? I see them with advertisements on them all the time, but do people do it with just regular tint?

I just had a Solid black strip across the front which went down 7".
Ususally I would think darker on the back, and slightly lighter on the front sides.

How does the black strip across the front look? Both from the inside and out...is it alright? Good enough that I should ask to get it done?

I had 30% and got pulled over and given a $190 fine! NO TINT is legal in British Columbia.
But 20% is a good choice........As for the "strip of black tint" on the top of the front windshield...If it serves no pupose than I don't see a point in putting it there. But that's just my opinion.*don't hate on me too much flatblackTeg....

I had 17% on mine, got pulled for it and got cited. Faught it along with the modified exhaust ticket, and not having amber sidemarker lights. Cop was having a bad night I guess. At least I got them all taken care of. None of them stuck.
