Default Zex kit blew my engine...

Ok so i just had a zex kit on my gsr... 55 shot of dry nitrous... I went out last night to go test after installing some bkr7e-11 spark plugs and checkin all the lines... So my first run was in second gear at 4000 rpm to 7.5k and then turned off... 15 minutes later another identical run... i turned it off... picked up my friend to suprise him... a third second gear pull from 4000 rpm... it worked fine, however as i found my way to the empty access road about 3 minutes later i put it in second from 4000 rpm and nailed it almost to the top of third when my car seemed to a hit a rev limiter at 6000 rpm??? As you can guess my engine began luggin (warbling like a wrx) and i took it home, diagnosed it today with a 71 and 72 code... (1 and 2 cyl. misfires) What i dont understand is how could this happen? I thought i had everything right??? It emptied the bottle in those runs, none i which even came close to 10 seconds each...

Here are the plugs (used for about 10 miles)

Here is the reason it blew (No jet installed)

Footnotes: Had my nitrous installed, a jet was forgotten, my motor is blown...

Try checking, or changing out the plugs yet?
What octane were you running on?

should have went wet. Did you double check the lines after the first use? when double checking after an install, many dont realize pressure still has not gone through half the lines. I ran a zex 75 wet shot for a total of 2 years, on two different cars.

Did you ever have it tuned since you put on the nitrous? Dont you need to add more gas (enrich the af mixture) when ever you add nitrous?

My guess would be that it is a fuel related issue. Pull your plugs and check them out. Was your kit new or used? Did you have the vaccum lines on correctly?

(Bkr7e Plugs) in order 1 2 3 4

did you not learn anything from Fast and Furious. You need to tune your Nos Fogger system with your injectors so you can run 9's. I do apologize for talking nonsence just thought I might cheer you up.

The motor should be salvageable. Nows the time for some upgraded guts.

i say lean also..have you tried replacing the plugs and see how it runs? you might have lucked out and only melted the plugs..ive burned a couple spark plug ground straps when i was "tuning" my old wet setup..the engine was still fine after though

x2, see if it's beyond just the plugs.

Yeah, that crossed my mind... It did run home, but it felt like one cylinder running... and if you look at the plugs one of the prongs is still intact... Cylinder 1.

Im gonna go replace the plugs in a minute and see... thx

You prolly have no compression in at least 2 of your cylinders.

yo LS-N,

How much hp do you get from the pine scent? I'm thinking of getting some too. Maybe run like a Twin Pine-bo setup with a fat intercooler.

Maybe i shouldnt have had it installed by someone on the side, i woulda had it installed by a shop but here in san antonio its dead as ****, theres no good shops anywhere...learned my lesson, anyone wanna see pics of the setup?

you probably did what i seen ALOT of ppl do...incorrectly install the jets...or install only ONE jet...there are two jets...one in nozzle and one on the purple box...if these are switched this can happen..if these are put in incorrectly it may not function properly as well...

The Nitrous kit didn't blow your engine, you did.

Honda or not, your car's still 9 years old.
