Chassis code questions (3rd and 4th gen)

I know that the 3rd gen is chassis code BA...BUT does it have a number after it or is it just BA.......Next question is what chassis code is the 4th gen S model??

BB1 is a 4G

not quite.
3g is BA4 or BA5 (INX version).
4g is BB1 (vtec), BB2 (si) or BB3 (s)

A 4th gen S is a BA8, not a BB3
