d16z6 in 94 integra
im pretty much broke right now and my stock 94 ls motor is blown (threw a rod through the block)... i have a friend who has a d16z6 laying around i could get for free... what needs to be done in order to swap this into my 94 ls? i know it will be slow but i just need to get my car back on the road right now... thx
it would cost you more to put that engine in than to find a used but functioning LS engine....
you would need custom mounts...
custom axles....
might need to do some work with the shift linkage and shifter in the interior itself. most likelye you would need a custom header or custom piping to mount the stock header to the rest of the exhaust system....
then the wiring system.... im not sure what you would need to do. if your car is obd1 and that engine is obd1 then it shouldnt be too hard... but anything different and youll have further headache...
also to add.. that engine WILL die much sooner because of the extra load it will be lugging around ALL the time. your putting a very underpowered engine in a relatively heavy car.
just save up a couple hundred bucks... look around local junkyards you should be able to find an ls engine... even a second generation integra engine would work.

Wow I would definately not do that. Like ^ said it would actually cost you more to install that motor in than that of an LS. You should search around through our classifieds when you can and try and find a LS motor in there.

i know a certain year range of civics had all the mounts in the same position except for one mount but could be replaced with a integra mount and then mostly everything would bolt up.....
im still not sure about axles though...
