Default fuel pressure...

my car seems like it is not getting enough feul pressure when im starting up. its a 94 ex btw. it tries to fire but seems like it doesnt have enough pressure becuz after a little while it builds it up and finally starts. i noticed that the regulator has a screw in it and wondered what it is for. does it adjust the pressure? or what does it do if not? where should that screw be set? sorry about the 11 million questions but i kinda want to get this problem fixed and move on to a new car so i dont have more problems like it.

thanks in advance

The screw on the fuel regulator is to adjust fuel but you will need a fuel pressure guage to see where you fuel pressure is at.

definately

You can give it a lil twist w/o teh guage and see if it runs better (think CCW opens it up more) but becareful b/c if it goes too outta whack it won't run at all...

Are you giving ur pump time to prime? Next time you get into ur car (after it's been off for at least 3 hours), put the key to the "on" position NOT the "start" position, when it's in the "on" position u should get power to the car and u'll hear a little electronic whirr (that's your fuel pump priming), wait until the noise stops then start the car and see if it has the same problem

I'd check that before I started ******* with the fuel pressure..
