hey guys, im new, i was wondering what ideas people might have on this prob i got. my car overheats in idle, but when i drive, it cools back down, or when i turn the heater on full blast. theres plenty of coolant, and the radiator just got a new top plastic piece. anyone know what the prob might be?

Try changing the thermostat, and flush and bleed the cooling system.

 

Yeah your thermostat may be stuck. You can test a new one by useing a string to dip it in to hot water, and see if it opens even at what temp.
