As my man Michael Jackson would say, "Just beat it, beat it, beat it..." Haha. But seriously, drive it how you are going to drive it. I hit vtec going out of the dealership. Also search as this topic has been covered many times. Check out 8thcivic.com also for some more answers. Some will say baby, others will say beat it. I am driving it how I want and how I will forever. It's a honda, have some fun.

For the millionth time i have said this. Just do what the manual says. Period. That is why we buy Hondas... the amazing reliability, quality, and ENGINEERING. The engineers wrote the manual, the people who designed the engine, listen to them. Read the manual. Have Fun

I agree with this statement. Is the book really going to change the way you would drive. Drive the way you would drive it. I fluctuate based on traffic. No sense in driving your car hard if there is alot of traffic and no where to go. However, for little to no traffic, I like to open it up. I have 4100 miles now and I have driven at all different revs and speeds. Remember to enjoy the car, that is why you got it.

When you don't break it in properly, don't complain about the oil comsumption later on.
