There have been many oil discussions here on H-T. If you are truly interested in oil information, check out the forums over at http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/

However, any decent 5W-30 will work perfectly fine for your motor.

10w30 Castrol GTX is what a lot of tuners around here use. But don't be like a lot of morons with their Hondas who complain about what oil to use, and then a week later bitch because their motor blew up due to low oil. Any oil will definitely do as long as its in your engine.

any good 5w30 or 10w30 will work. Mobil 1 and Royal Purple are the best IMO.

Mobile 1 5w30, if ur going with slight non-bolt on upgrades maybe 10w30 or 15w, but if it's stock, 5w30 Mobile 1 is perfect for it...

most of these posts have fully synthetic oil which you should only put in your car if it has fairly low miles. fully synthetic oil can break up build ups in your engine that mey be covering leaks and other stuff so it depends on how old your engine before deciding on traditonal or sythnetic. i switched to synthetic in my b16a2 at around 80k miles. i haven't had any complications but every motor is different. other thatn that, most oil is good, except penzoil, just skip it. first determine if you want tradition or synthetic.

Everyone has their own "type" and reason for oil they use..

Go from personal experience.

Most commonly used I see is Mobil 1 5w-30 synthetic for your application.

For drivability and race purposes, you'll do fine with Mobil1 10w-30 for 5w-30.

Man, oil is oil. I've seen people at the track run 12 seconds flat then come back and put $.99 Sheetz oil in. You just need to find a viscosity and stick with it. Play around with a few, you may see a difference, but as for me, I just run 15w50 since my H22 has forged pistons and smokes like a freight train.

If you were on a budget my oil of choice would have to be hands down: Valvoline.

If not then Amsoil!!! Stick with the 5w30. But then again if you follow Amsoil oil interval guidelines and use their synthetic oil and filter you don't have to change oil for another 5K-25K mi depends on how you drive. That would be most budget effective and still have excellent performance & protection.

i use castrol full synthetic 10w-30. recntly ran for two days with no oil, oil press gauge was broken and i double sealed the oil filter, oil was everywhere didnt know it. filled her back up with oil same as she was. Synthetic the only way to go.

but if you want cheap this aint it, $6.72 a quart
