Default 2006 civic engine question

my friend imports engine from japan, he has a civic 2006 entire engine with everything (tranny,harness, ecu...ect) can i fit it on my 88 rex?

and if i could whats the specs on it, i know its 1.8 i-vtec

aside from the normal k-swap stuff you would need to change the intake manifold to a RSX-s because the 06 uses drive by wire.

im sure there are other special things too.

He said 1.8l Sounds like worthless swap to me. Just do a b series, unless you have the cheddar to do a K20a.

he claims the engine has 150HPs on it, and i'm getting it so cheap so why not?! can i know the specs of that engine?! it came of a sedan

Do a b16 if that is all it is.

d series engine are expensive in my country and doesnt have spare parts, i know 3 guys have type R engines and they removed it cuz the didnt find a spare tranny. what series is the 06 civic 1.8 engine?! i wish someone just tell me specs

ahh i missed that part. this engine he is talking about comes in the base coupe/sedan. It's the R-Series motors. (new).
