Default Over heated

Yesterday one of the coolant hoses blew and coolant went everywhere in my engine and the car started to over heat. Luckly I had pulled into a parking lot and I let it cool. I went and got some more coolant and filled up the resevoir. I drove the car home and it started to over heat. Once I got home I changed the hose and blah blah. So this morning I am driving an the car almost went to red. The resevoir didn't fill up the radiator with coolant and it over heated.

Do you think this did any damage to the motor? The car was not in the red for maybe a minute.

it only overheated once. Im just asking if it could have damaged the motor. The car no longer overheats.

you probably didnt damage the motor if it didnt go all the way to the red or was only at the red for a short time

pull your radiator cap off and let the motor run to get the bubbles out, squeeze the hoses the also help get the bubbles out

you may need to replace the thermostat and flush the radiator out and put all new coolant in it
