Differential Bearing?
Hi there,
I have a tranny problem.. I posted a few days ago..
It rattles a little and stops sometimes, then starts again. No difference at all in driving/clutching/gearing feeling. The rattling noise stops when I push the clutch in.. and it does it on ANY gear. Itsd a minor ratling but Im very concernesd about it.
Anyways, for what its worth, I have a ACT Street clutch kit with the pressure plate and throwout bearing that came along with it.
Anyways, my mechanic by driving it around quickly says he's pretty sure its the Differential Bearing ...
I know its in the tranny, but not sure what it does for a living and most of all, I cannot find a part number... I searched for bearing only on acuraparts247 and got pretty confused.
If anyone can either give me an opinion on the diagnostic done and/or help me with finding my part number, lemme know!
Thanks in advance.

EDIT: BTW I have a 98 GSR

The easy way is go to a Acura dealer and ask them. They should have all the parts number on there computer with picture to show you. I got my for 45 dallor each so it is kind of expensive.
