Default Warped Carbon Fiber hood

I have a brand new hood I purchased for my 99 civic si. I paid extra to get a good hood ( not some Ebay special ), and when I went to bolt it on it sits up pretty high off of the drivers side fender. I have used all the adjustments there are, and tried everything I thought would work. We latched the hood without bolting it down, and its definetly the hood. The car has never been wrecked.....

Does anyone know how to minipulate a CF hood??? Its 14 day warranty is out! HELP!!!

get hood pins and they'll help to bring the hood down to line up with the fender. plus they're safer

Well I paid extra for the metal latch so I wouldnt have to use hood pins. Does anyone know if heat or weight would work???

just grind down the base of your hood latch.

all latches are metal, anyway what happened is most carbon fiber hood companies package the hoods before they have a chance to fully cure. They dont post cure them. This means the hood will take the shape of the box while it is in the container coming from China to here. their is really nothing you can do about it. Hood pins will help but that is about all
