Default Spoon Ecu...genuine or not?

Found a spoon ecu on ebay...it has the spoon seals on it. But is there another way to tell if its genuine spoon ecu?

That is a JDM ECU, so chances are it could very well be a spoon chipped ECU. The only way to know for sure would be to look inside though..

looks to be a real or a Good replica of a spoon seal and that is a JDM small cased p30. Good chance it could be a spoon ECU.

But you would be better off with a chipped p28 and Crome

Because its basically all the same ****. Its more about who tunes it and how well they do it.

Plus you can mostly find a P28 for cheaper

Youre better off with a P28 that is programmed to the specs of your motor. I would say go with Phearable or if you can purchase a Hondata and get your car tuned.....$. 2

running a "blind tune" such as this one is generally not beneficial.

Exactly. There's no use in tuning a stock motor because a chipped ECU is not going to net you any power. Even with bolt-ons you're not going to get much, even if you spend a couple of hours on the dyno the most you'd pick up would probably be 5whp.

Save your money for something useful as opposed to a piece of "bling" that isn't going to do anything but give you bragging rights.
