Best way to get the Rotors off (read: those damn screws!)
On a 13K mile R, you'd think that the screws that hold the front rotors would come right off. Nope, can't be that simple.
So, before I strip the f*ck out of those screws and end up drilling them out, is there a better way to do it to get them off?

Impact driver.
Like this one - only with a #3 Phillips-head screwdriver bit. http://buy.snapon.com/catalog/pro_de...re&dir=catalog

I just finished replacing my rotor 30 minutes ago. A have a 98 ITR an the two front rotor were never taken off. They only way I manage to take those damn screws off was to drill them out and use one of those special bit to unscrew them. An impact wrench was no use.
If I may suggest, replace the philipp's flat head screws by flat socket head screw ( "allen" flat head screws) they are a lot easier to work with. Let say that the two front rotors did not came off without a fight either

after using an impact screwdriver to get them off i suggest coating those buggers (or new ones) with some anti sieze http://www.pollardwater.com/emarket/...8lubricant.asp to make it easier for ya next time
Here's the easiest way and has worked for me on really old cars as well as the Acura.
Get a large bolt that has the same diameter end as the screw on the rotor. Place it over the head of the screw and take a sledgehammer and hit the head of the bolt as hard as you can like 3 times. Voila! Try it again and it should come off like cake. HTHs. Good luck.

Sears hardware has the Impact thingies for $24.95 and they even come with a couple of phillips and standard bits. Picked one up tonight (along with a small drill bit just in case
).
).
My vote is for an impact screwdriver!
Thanks G3-TEG for the hookup!
