Problem with Skunk2 TB
I installed my skunk2 throttle body but the idle ended up being VERY low at about 100 or a lil lower and would even get so low that it would just die on its own. The idle adjust screw on the skunk2 TB didn't adjust the idle at all and i'm just trying to figure out whats going on. I believe it has something to do with the hose you see on the left hand side of the pic that plugs into a nipple on the TB just off the pic. With the TB i have right now if i unplug that hose my idle just dies and the skunk2 TB isn't made to even have that hose at all. Anyone know what to do to fix my idle problem? Or do you think maybe I got a defected TB and the idle screw is broken...?
yes unplug TPS maybe?
could be that the computer knows to put out so much a/f for the oe manifold and tb that now that theres a bigger tb, its not putting out enough a/f for the computer to find out in time that the idle is too low?
The needle valve on the IACV could be clogged with carbon or dirt... otherwise after you adjust the screw on the IACV and unplug the TPS the idle shouldnt be allowed to drop below this setting
Dont take what I posted to heart, Im just now figuring out all the TPS/IACV mess so Im not fully positive on what Im posting... but its all I can think of for now
