Nice. What Time Attacks are you planing on running in?

 

don't know as of yet. its 500 pounds lighter than the supra and the same power with all wheel drive. so it should be. the only thing the supra has on this thing is that it has much better aero and the trans in the supra is better geared. we might change the gearing in the evo later, but road A next month should tell the tail. if it runs faster than a 32 then yes.

we are going to run the red line time attacks. both the super street time attacks and the evo shoot outs that are once a year. pretty much anything on the east coast we can get into we will.

Are you guys going to run it in NASA TTU at RA in August?

 

we really want to make it there but i dont see it happening. the car left this morning for the cage and the motor wont be together for 3 weeks. got some custom pistons coming for it ;-) so if we make it there it will be untested and we made that mistake at the evo shoot out and wont do that again. deffinatly road a tho.

car is in TTR not TTU we had to many problems with the supra in TTU being to fast so we are just not going to even worry about it and run this thing in TTR. the side numbers are from the supra thats why it says TTU.

I sure would love to run in TTU or TTA i think the car might actually fit in TTU but NASA likes to class the driver and or the car they gave us so much crap with the supra this thing has to be in R.

well....if the car fits in TTU by the rules, you can run TTU. If that gets them all butthurt because you wipe the floor with all the other TTU cars, then thats their problem.

 

No... they have pretty much told us "If you are that fast there will be questions about HP and you need to run in TTR"


(Told me that about the AMS Evo) NASA doesn't know what to do with people that build cars to the limit of the rules and drive them well yet.

Tell them to file a protest on your engine, post a bond, or shut the expletive up.

Good god. I'm glad I'm not behind the wheel......

 

AMS (shop I drive for that owns the evo) isn't really happy about it.. I am not either.. What it comes down to, and what was said to me in an e-mail was,

If the car has the ability to produce 550whp, even if you detune it, there will be questions as to how much it had if you put down a fast lap, so pretty much, if it is fast it will be put in TTR..

They did this to GSC at Road Atlanta when they ran 1:33s in the Supra.. just said "nope, must have more HP than they are claiming, off to TTR.."

I don't really mind the bump up.. if we didn't have to run against GT1 cars that might show, or a Radical, etc..
