Default 94 and 96 si models

as far as brake components, are these the same? I'm trying to do a brake swap on a civic and I need the 23t bracket from a 96si but was wondering if the 94 si's were the same. can someone help me out?

well the itr calipers are the same spec as vtec prelude brakes.

if thats what you are wondering. you have an SI so it has smaller brakes.

you can upgrade to the ITR calipers / prelude vtec brackets or just get vtec calipers/brackets..........all the same

I'm planning a front disc conversion to type r calipers and prelude brackets. I was just wondering if the type r caliper body and prelude caliper body were the same.

Would the Si brackets/calipers/11.1 rotors bolt up to the ex/si spindles? I know there's a few adjustments to make to the caliper bracket.

by body i hope you mean calipers. then yes they are.

your last question is conflicting.

Si brackets won't work on 11.1 rotors (vtec rotors). also what is an EX spindle? we have SI, S, Vtec models for the prelude.

if you just go with vtec calipers / brackets its a straight remove and replace job. no need to modify anything

sorry for the confusion. I have a 97dx that needs to have the knuckle/spindle replaced by a civic ex. The guide that I'm trying to follow is in this link:

http://www16.brinkster.com/mikedrive57/brakes.htm

it states that the 23t caliper (si bracket/typer bracket) is needed and needs to be modified to fit the 11.1 rotor. Remember, this is all for a civic.

ooooooo. well then. i honestly don't know. i know the calipers are the same for all the 11.1 rotor models.

you just need the right brackets. i'm assuming you have tried to ask in the civic forum?
