tein basics coilovers?
Right now i have tein stech springs and stock struts on my 98 ej8, now its got 100k on her and shes gettin loose. I need to invest in my suspension but the tein basics coilovers are about the most i can spend. My question is would they be much better than just using my stechs and getting some koni struts? would they be worth the differece?

i say if you like the ride height now, just keep the stechs and get Koni Yellows. Besides, if later on down the road you decide you want something different, you can't go wrong with picking up some GCs. And even if you add up the GC/Koni combo, which you may or may not decide to get, its still not a bad deal. Just a tad more than the basics but much better in almost every category except jdm bling factor
good luck...

yeah, i am not looking for bling.... im looking more for...bang for my buck. my pops has and s2k on buddyclub coilovers.....stuff as **** and can corner like no other....i know you "get what you pay for" but whats my best bet?
I personally have the H&R Sport/ Koni combo and I think it rides like a dream. The H&R can't be too far off the Stechs either. Basically, if you've been riding on stock shocks with those, switching to the Yellows will be a TREMENDOUS difference. Comfort/handling will vary depending on how you adjust the dampening. Either way, you won't regret it. I know I don't. And hey, if you think its riding too soft and want it stiffer for a day or two, you have that option. On the reverse side, you pick up some Basics and just get tired of the harsh ride, you're SOL.
