99-00 front end EF, yeah EF!
Okay, before anyone says anything, yes I did search and found only front ends for sale or going into EG's or EK's.
By the way, I have seen this done on CRX's and in my opinion, they look ugly.
However, I saw one done on 91 hatch and, needless to say, I loved the way it looked. I know that on EG's all that changes is the fenders so you have to modify that and the rest blots on.
What I want to know is what I need to do for the 99-00 front end to fit my 90 hatch.
Can I use my fenders? Do I use the 99-00? Will anything bolt on? Anything bolt at all or line up? What about the hood?
So if anyone knows the answer to any or all of these questions, i'd appreciate the help, any links will also help.
I couldn't find anything really, thanx in advance

you use the back half of your stock fenders, welded to the front half of the fenders you want, keeping in mind the length of the hood.
the rear of the 99-00 fenders couldnt possibly work the door lines would never line up.
also conside how the hell your going to deal with moldings. since the front off an EK is completley different your essentially in for a full shave all round of your oem moldings.
so cutting, welding, a full molding shave and some door cards would be mandatory to make it still resemble an automobile when your done.
im not going to comment on how bad of an idea this is, since theyll be 156478643789468 posts about that below me until this post dies.
since it has nothing to do with making the car go at all, youd also get more responses in the section of the forums that deals with appearence found here:

fark that, with all the time, effort and money spend you could just get a jdm ef8 front end
and it would look better ...
But if you really want to do it then good luck

EF's, EG's are sweet rides. EK's can go eat a bowl of dick, i dont care what you do to it...it looks like ****. dont ruin another EF by swappin a EK front end on it. it will look stupid.....just my opinion tho.
Well I wanted a 99-00 coupe cuz I hate the ek hatch, but i've always liked the EF's hatch. I figured it'd be a better way to go to do the frontend swap.
I am a sheet metal journeyman so i know how to weld, I can get the front end locally for 2 bills and as far as "going fast" this is my set up:
B18b block, crank and rods
B16 pistons
B16a2 head, ported & polished, ITR valvetrain, ITR exhaust cam, CTR intake cam, stainless steel valves, skunk2 cam gears
ITR Intake manifold, 68mm STR throttle body, ITR 4-1 exaust manifold
all mated to a 91 j1 tranny
Anywho, If you dont have any positive input, dont waste your time on this post.

Spend the 2k on suspension or tires/wheels. That is a horrific thing to do to an ef. Your soul will burn eternally in the depts of hell for your crimes.

That's Fu-King funny **** right there .
If you truly have what you say you have under your hood then you should have more love for your car than to hack the **** out of it. This seems to be a very bad idea and so far in this thread it's gotten all bad revues

dont help him Bart-if he is proud of all that imaginary ****, then he would'nt want to hack an ED apart to put that blasphemous bullshit front end on it.
The only problem is I never seen one conversion that I like yet. The ek front end looks too long on ef. I have a feeling unfortunately that you will regret it as time goes by. I seen it happen so many times..........
some one needs to photo shop this...lol
