an LS or possibly a GSR tranny would be good for boost

both of those trannies would make your car slower than the car with the b16 tranny and same setup

the b16 tranny has gears that are much too short for turbo, for a boosted car, you want a tranny that will keep the car is its high power band for the longest amount of time and will therfore accelerate faster

the b16 tranny will also bring traction problems because of the short gears and high power of the motor

you are so backwards that i wont even attempt to correct you...im tired of explaining to rookies this misconception...

if you understand how a transmission works you wouldnt dare say such garbage...when your rpms are climbing slower...that means youre accelerating slower..not OMG WERE BOOSTING HARDER...I know what im talking about with ACTUAL EXPERIENCES and SCIENTIFIC backing behind what im saying..

iono bout that.. many people says short gears are better for boost because it helps u rip through the powerband quicker

pull your head out of your ***, if you wanted a shorter geared tranny for turbo then go with a GSR tranny, not a b16

with a b16 tranny you are not going to be in your peak torque and power curve when you shift into a higher gear

BOLO knows what I am talking about

you are wrong...get the expletive over it...its obvious you have NO experience with what youre talking about...sounds like a lot of speculation to me...and if you insist ill pull the dyno charts of a boosted honda and apply shift points accordingly showin you that it will land the car in an optimal range...AND provide MORE torque multiplication throught EVERY gear....resulting in a FASTER car...

b16 quicker yes!....but if you want some high speed i'd go with the LS....but who's dumb enough to do a buck 160 on the streets........if i remember correctly 5th gear in a b16 at redline is 130mph.....but gotta be a good driver with a b16 tranny and need good tires...alotta boost will spin them easliy.

He's also usually Drunk when he's posting.

Only downside you would have is a lower topspeed,
but oh damn, you always go for topspeed when turbo'd, so ls all the way..

this is true....your top speed will be lower...tration may be an issue...BUT you dont downgrade the transmission to gain traction...this is backwards..making the car slower to obtain traction is going in REVERSE...TIRES...TRACTION BARS...SUSPENSION...thats how you obtain traction

haha i see youre focused on highspeeds...in that case...i guess running the SLOWER QUARTER MILE isnt of concern...in that case i can see why youd want an ls transmission...but ME i dont HIGHWAY RACE...so the quartermile is important and top speed is not a concern...and BTW i think flatblack was being sarcastic

I would use a GSR tranny on a boosted b20 because its not too short and not to long

and youd be slower than the boosted b20 that has a b16 transmission with no tractoin issues...end of story....you can argue this till your blue in the face...but you are far from being correct on this one sir...like i said anytime youre ready ill break out the calculator the dyno plots and the gear ratios to show you the error of your ways...

the car sounds like it will be daily driven to me, I wouldnt want to drive a b16 tranny on the freeway with a boosted car, sounds like alot of wear and tear on a motor to be boosting for long periods of time

hmm by this statement right there...i can tell youve never owned a boosted honda with a b16 transmission...ill leave you be on this one...just know that at 4300even rpm the car was not into boost....keep in mind boost is determined by ENGINE LOAD (IE throttle position), not so much RPM, and cruising on the freeway the throttle position wasnt ANYWHERE near even 30% so the car didnt go into boost
