Would Jdm EF8 1 Piece Civic Headlights fit a Crx with EF8 bumper/hood?



Just wondering as I have the EF8 2 piece crx headlights and found these 1 piece Civic ones for cheap, they look way cleaner but I dont know if they will fit ...

also what does the filler panel do? will I need it?

The filer piece is for the 4 door civic where does lights come from. so no they will not fit you CRX, without alot of mods to the body.

 

ok thanks, I dont know anything about 4 door civics so didnt know they were off of one, the idiot told me they were off a ef8 hatch ...

I was thinking of buying them then and there but was suspicious over the filler panel thing

 

ive seen the headlights fit to a crx before. ive also saw them on a civic hatch.

you want to ditch the filler piece.

Are they the same size as the jdm ef8 head lights?

 

you may have to use the fenders also. i think someone told me the corner shape was different.

They dont fit.
Putting on different fenders wont work as they wont fit.
I'm pretty sure those arent even off an EF.....

The EF8 is clearly a hatchback.

To the OP, you can use those lights but you'll have to do some "cutting & pasting" with some sedan fenders and crx fenders. I say go for it, It'l probably look pretty good and be a little unique too.

 

I was talking to UKDM CRX about this a long time ago... He was telling me its a major bitch of a fabercation project.

Clearly he means Hatch as in Civic
I dont think he was askin if CRX headlights will fit a CRX
And I obviously know a CRX has a hatch.


EDIT:I suppose I worded my original statement awkwardly, but the kid said the guy was refering to EF8 as in a Civic Hatchback

you should really elaborate more on what "FIT" means. the corner lights and hood line are way off. its a whole bunch of cutting and bondo to make it work.

or just weld the whole jdm sedan front to whatever car you want.

those are really the only two ways to successfuly do it.

i guess a third way would be treat it like a frontend swap from another gen of hatch and cut both fenders in half.

anyway way you look at it, its a shitload of work for not much payoff.

 

There used to be a tealish CRX with the one piece headlights. It was gutted out with a Mugen kit and carbon hood. Dont know what all he used to get them to fit, but it was ill. Unfortunately I lost all my pics of it.

The guy said they were off a jdm ef8 civic, when I said ef8 hatch I meant civic, so you are right.
I dont know much about civics and thought there would be an ef8 civic since theres an ef8 crx ... obviously not ... and obviously that guy is an idiot and didnt know what he was on about when he said they were off an ef8 civic ...

I think if I could get those lights to fit they would look really good but Im not touching those lights ... the fab work wouldnt be worth it ... and probably turn into a disaster

It's no big deal for you to not know the EF differences, but if the guy is supposed to be dealing JDM parts he should know his product

Yes none of which ever came with 1 peice headlights. They only came on EF 4 doors. The car on fiber images site had the 1-peice lights grafted in. Their websiite is now gay and doesn't work though. Here is a extremely small pic.

 

Why don't you get some EDM VT headlights? Glass front, el. adjustable, and they'd fit! You only need the corners for an EE/EF8.
