my car is overheating really bad. its a crx wit single cam turbo. wen i first start it up it sounds like its flooded too, engine sounds weird for about 5 minutes then sounds normal. after 10 minutes of driving the temp. gauge is at half way...the needle steadily increases and has touched the red. everytime i check the radiater its low on coolent. ive had to fill it up three times now. but its not leaking coolent at all.... i checked the spark plugs and the one in cylinder 3 is wet and darker looking then the rest. ive been told i mite hav a cracked head or a bad head gasket. nebody hav any other advise? im goin to be taking the head off today and checking the gasket and head for any bad signs.

 

Do you have coolent in your oil???

 

havnt draind the oil yet... so i dont kno

Well if you check your dipstick, you will probaly find the oil to be milky colored but maybe not!

 

also what do u mean....what type of noise?
as for the coolant check the engine coolant and oil dipstick

 

u do relize u cant reuse the old h/g right?so u just c ant pop it off look at it and put it back on.have u tried bleeding the system?when u say 3 cyl. is wet wet with what? gas, oil,coolant?
