coolant leak?
alright i know my radiator is old but it works fine alright the bottom hose that goes towards the rear part of the block i believe that it is the thermostat anyway thats where the leak is at but i think its because the hose is old or the clamp give me some idea

Easiest way to find a coolant leak is with
a cooling system pressure tester like:

I have heard that some auto-zones have them avalible to rent..

its where the end of the of the hose stops at the side that goes to the engine and its the hose that comes from the bottom of the radiator
I did this to find a coolant leak and it worked:
Make sure you have plenty of coolant in the rad
Start car
Let warm to normal operating temp
Pop hood
Look for the leaks
Worked for me. I just ended up replacing all the hoses though because they were all pretty brittle. Just wanted to make sure it was a hose though.

That's your thermostat housing
If you get in there and mess with it, in addition to what needs replaced (definitely replace thermostat itself) I recommend buying a new o-ring for where the housing meets the hard coolant pipe.....
