well i know this is supposed to be true to a degree. It is like that to prevent blinding oncoming drivers with your lights. But how much higher exactly, I couldn't tell you. Im thinking the best way is to pull up to a wall somewhere and play with it till you think its right.

I'm in for other methods/tips though, I could use em too.

Edit: Are you asking how to adjust them? If thye are like USDM lights then you just loosen the two 10mm bolts on top and move up and down from there.

The light patterns were even before hand until I messed with the passanger headlight, and bolted it in so the headlight itself looked straighter(the corner light tab was broken so i fixed that and now it looks right)...but sitting in front of a wall it's quite a bit higher then the driver side...if the only way to adjust it is by playing with the two bolts on top holding it in I am out of luck lol, I was hoping there was some way to adjust it on the back of the light itself.

take your car to a level dark parking lot..
Pull 25 feet back from the wall.
measure the distance from the ground to the center of your headlights..
Then subtract 1-2" off of that and thats where your Cutoff/ Hotspot should be on the wall

SO if the center of your headlights is 25 inches.. then your lights should be aimed at 23 inches on the wall.

Good info now I know what to measure, but have any idea how to adjust the light beam itself rather just moving the headlight?

you can't adjust the beam. only move it up, down, left, right.

towards the top/back of the headlight, there should be a little slot where you can slip a screwdriver in. you can turn the screwdriver either left or right and it'll adjust like that.

Moving it up, down, left right, meaning loosening the bolts and moving the headlight itself?

You can aim the headlights with the aiming screws on the back of the housings.. also can use a 10mm

this for the jdm ones.

when i posted this:<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by philosofy1 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">you can't adjust the beam. only move it up, down, left, right.</TD></TR></TABLE>

i meant adjusting the height and center of the beam, not the actual headlight housing.

i see what your saying now, for some reason i was thinking on the focus of the beam. sorry.

the jdm headlight don't have the 10mm bolt. you need a screwdriver to adjust them.

Instead of using a screw driver I used an 8mm socket, worked like a charm.

On mine I only had two adjusters, one for side to side and one for height. I believe the side to side adjuster was closest to the fender and height was towards the middle. You could either put a flat head in the upper rubber piece and turn the adjuster by it's teeth, or use an 8mm on the bolts to adjust them. I'm not sure what other adjustment you're talking about with the 3 little holes.
