Mine appears to be broken. It's weird, tho... the radio reception will get better as the radio turns on, like the antenna really is raising, or at least what is inside is. The collapsible metal part of the antenna will not raise and lower. I know that I will have to replace the whole mast and the cord inside.

Anyone ever attempted it? At the absolute most I will yank out the motor and the mast and put a fixed mast antenna on, but I don't really care to do that.

 

i just replace mine with a FUBA antenna off of ebay.

 

you can put and s2000 antenna on

they sell a kit to wire and install it and I hear it works quite well
