OK, so under load going up hills or on the gas, my entire dash board and steering wheel shakes like a b*tch. Going slow enough you can actually hear "it", almost sounds like a flat tire or something. Checked the tires (duh), checked all the lugnuts and made sure they were tight, checked both axles and the intermediate shaft, checked all the motor mounts. WTF is going on?! At first some thought it was a bad tune, and I agree it needs to be re-tuned (eventually), but it jerks the steering wheel back and forth so bad in your hand when it does it, I just can't buy that. Any help would be great.

Oh, and there's also a creaking (metal) sound from the front end when you turn the wheel at low speeds; but it doesn't do it all the time. Thanks in advance.

 

For one how many miles do you have on your car? The metal "cracking" sound could mean your CV boot is done and/or bad axels. But then again it could be a number of things, bring it to the shop and get it checked out. As far as the shaking when you go up hill did you try downshifting? you have to be in higher rpm's going up hill. When i was in low rpms goin up hill in my old EJ i had the same problem, just had to downshift.

 

Vibration under acceleration is a sign of a bad inner cv joint.

 

Yea, but, a shot CV joint won't jerk your car around like that. My car did the same thing, but I found a crack in my head
