stock air box and K&N Filter???
anyone see any problems runnin just the stock box in a 95 coupe without the resonator and stuff....just the box and a k&n sqaure drop in filter? any opinions and ideas/comments would be appreciated. thanks
haha, thats pretty ghetto but its a start. make your own AEM CAI. http://www.teamdelsol.com/howto/coldair/diycoldair.htm
hell, thats the exact same thing I do becuse my hood vents let water in the bay when it rains. a lil louder than stock and cleaner too. Might as well make the best of it. otherwise buy a CAI off ebay and save some money.
On my old CRX, I had a stroked B16 with all the bolt on stuff, but I kept getting referree tickets (San Diego) for my intake (this is back when the cops didn't know about motor swaps, so they went for the little stuff), so I used an integra air box and rubber arm with a drop-in K&N filter, I ran a black flex hose from the front bumper (Mugen) up to the air box and it worked great. Cops were like, "Hey, how come you don't have one of those shiny pipes in there?" When I dyno'd, I used the stock box, and hit 183hp on my best run, then tried one final run with an Akimoto intake (like I said, long time ago, Akimoto!?!) and hit 185hp, so the power was pretty close, it's not that bad, and no more tickets! Good luck
