shift at the same rpm as you did before the ecu. you're not going to gain any power anyway.

Yup, same RPM as you did with your d16y8 before the ECU switch.

a p208 is the stock ecu for 92-95 sedan civic! it does not have have vtec. i noticed a big difference with p72 but the rev limit on a p208 is 6500rpm and the p72 is 8900rpm. i dont want to take the engine to high.

in America? No it isn't. The DX/LX sedan had a P06 and the EX sedan had a P28

I wouldn't take it over 7200. There is definately no such ECU as p208

Rev until the RPM limiter hits. D16Y8's are good to like 12,000 RPM...especially with their great oil pumps and valvetrain

o make sure you take out all of your oil before doing so...that way your car can be lighter...

Word man. I can rev my motorcycle to 11k, but you would totally be showing me what the deal is by revving to 12k!

Put your stock ECU back in. You're not helping yourself by putting in an ECU with the wrong fuel/timing maps.

Some of the "smarter" car guys came in here to tell you that it was a bad idea.

if you dont have vtec you dont need a vtec ecu. put your p06 back in. your only hurting your gas mileage.

The redline on that motor is 7200 RPM's, wouldn't take it that far though with the stock tach as they seem to be inaccurate, so shift at 7-7.2 and u'll be fine

oh yeah, that reminds me

If you can get ur hands ona stock P28 ODBII ECU go for it

It's made for that motor, it willl run nicely, 7200/7500 governor and some **** around 5800 vtec stock..it will run ur motor better than a P72
