Default ripped off?

ok i just bought a so called clutch kit off ebay. it came with a lightend flywheel, throw out bearing, pilot bearing, pressure plate, clutch disk, and alighnment tool full kit right? why is it that every time i bolt my tranny up i get no throw in the clutch? WTF! i get about 2in at the bottom of my pedal thats it. put the stock one back on and works perfect. they look the same. when i tighten down the pressure plate the fins that contact the throw out bearing move in to the clutch to where they are pretty much straigh in line. that makes it so the fork is fully extended so there is no throw in the clutch. did i get ripped off or am i just stupid? what do you think?

No offense, but thats what you get. probably sent you the wrong one or you ordered the wrong one.

nothing wrong with ebay. some stuff on there is garbage, but there is plenty of good stuff on there too..

What kind of clutch did you get?

I would try bleeding the clutch. Make sure the slave cylinder is moving the whole distance it should.

let us know how is goes, and don't listen to all the haters..

He does say his old one works fine when he puts it back on, indicating that air in the system isn't the problem.

I'd contact the guy who sold you it for a start and ask him to make sure he sent you the right one.

Exactly, some people are morons on ebay and think the d17 uses the same hardware as the d16.
