I want a ******* Sol. At first, I wanted a blue or green 94+ Si, because the brake size/rear discs, but bad luck in finding one has me at my wit's end. Now, I'll accept anything that's not gay *** red.

So, I stumbled across this. I pulled up on it from the rear, so I though the **** was nice, then I saw the front was fucked. It will be a rebuilt title if I fix it, but whatever..it is a Sol, and it has no Honda cancer. Frame rails look straight. Car is a 96 S.

Sadly it is an S, so I will need to swap the brakes for Si/Teg...but it's a better starting point than my EK hatch, because other than power locks/cruise, it still has the power windows.

Yes, I will paint the trim back to black, and remove the decals. I'll also put teh front end of my hatch on it.

(The stain on teh ground scares me a little)

He said he'll do 15...what should I go for? 12, 1K? 15 fair?

 

I wouldn't buy it, looks like too much trouble.

 

I'd say like 1 grand. It's in pretty rough shape. The interior is awful... You're going to need a new fender, hood and other crap just to get it running. Who knows if there is frame damage.
Honestly, you're going to be sorry if you buy this car. Just wait... Patience is a virtue and good things come to those who wait...
You'll find a much nicer Sol than that thing, trust me...

 

Is tha a B series engine in there btw? That's not the D15 that should be in the Sol. My spark plugs are on the back side of the valve cover towards the firewall.

It's a 96, so the S has D16Y7, which has the plugs on the front.

Well, ****, I think it's been a long time, been searching since FEBRUARY. The last Captivate Blue Sol Si was on here in March, but the buyer for the hatch dicked up, before I could buy it.

So, it's really not a matter of "if" it's more like "how much".

 

eBay. That's how I found mine. There's tons of Sol by my house. There's this really crap used car lot that has atleast 3 Sol's in at a time...

Aug 5th and 6th I believe is to be the del Sol meeting at Cedar Point. Maybe some one would be interesting in selling/trading... I dunno though

If you can't find a Del Sol in Ohio you're ******* retarded. I can't go six blocks from my house in Columbus without seeing one of the shitty little *** cars for sale, so I don't know what the expletive you're doing wrong, but you're doing it well

i have a sol, and if i were to sell it i would sell it for around 1.5-2k and it is in a hell of a lot better shape than that... body is fine, needs to be repainted. but damn dont settle for that , that is horrible

1500? Ha. Judging by the interior, this guy must be desperately holding on to some of the pride he had for this car with that price. I definitely wouldn't buy for more than 500.

 

u could take it for less than a grand then I say go for it...depends how well u can do body work I guess :-\

I'm not into sol's but if I was I'd fix it up :-\ Needs a good 500 or so (non-OEM, cheap aftermarket) in parts
