Hi, I'm going to be starting autocross next month and I had a question. Can I take out the rear seats of my Integra while staying in the stock class? I didn't see anything like this mentioned in the rule book. Also, do you have any tips or hints for me? Thanks a lot.

No, you cannot. Removal of rear seats is only allowed in Prepared, Street Modified, and Modified classes.

That means it is illegal. Section 13.1 in the SCCA Solo rulebook states: "If a modification is not specifically authorized in this or previous sections of these Rules it is not allowed."

Look ahead. Walk the course as many times as you can. Look ahead. Look FAR ahead. Turn your head and use the side windows if you have to. Think ahead. Did I mention looking ahead?
Have fun.

For stock class the rule book says "Except for modifications authorized below, Stock Category cars must be run as specified by the factory with only standard
equipment as defined by these Rules." In simple terms, that means "if it don't say it in the book, you can't do it" Since you didn't see anything like that mentioned it means you can't.
My advice to you is this: don't worry about the car. Just make sure its safe and the tires have 40+ lbs of air in them. Then just run the bitch. When you start out, autoX is all about driver skill and hardly at all about car prep. Don't modify the car to go faster, modify the driver.
