I'm running 15x7" +40mm Rota GT3s with 225/45-15 tires on my lowered CRX with no rubbing problems.

What is this for - street use, autocross, road course, dragstrip, etc?

Really? I find that VERY surprising, since that size tire is almost 6 percent larger in diameter than stock (and also hurts your acceleration as much as it would, say, to go from a 4.66 final drive gear to a 4.40).

For use as a daily driver, I would stick to 195/50-15 on a 15x6 rim. It won't make your acceleration slower, it won't rub, it will maintain the accuracy of your speedometer and odometer, and there are some very good tires available in that size.

I would say keep looking for the 15x6 and as a last resort get the 15x7. They wont rub

even 15x8 is ok , as long as the offset is +41 with 195/50 15 tires.

Huh? Most 195/50-15 tires are approved only for use on rims that are 5.5-7.0 inches wide.

Try posting that in a Volkswagen forum.

It's true. They don't like to talk about facts in the VW world?
