I need help wont rev over 5
I have just built a d16 turbo crx a friend of mine who owns a shop told me to take out all the emistions conrole stuff out of the car but leav the map sensor so I did then it would not rev over 4500 rpm I then put it all back how it was now it wont rev over 5000 I dont know what to do I am new to honda I race an eclipse so I am lost check engin codes are intake air temp, engin coolent temp sensor and atmospheric pressure please help
ok I took out all the vacum stuff on the fire wall I am new to the hole honda thing I dont know what muich of it is called but there are two sensors in a black plastic box like thing one is the map the other i dont know
the other is a purge solenoid for your fuel vapor...there are threads on here how to properly remove that stuff...also if your throwing those codes it sounds like there all unplugged or bad, and those may cause your problem, especially the atmospheric pressure sensor...so make sure they are all plugged in, the atmospheric pressure sensor is under the passenger side dash on the far right, i believe it is a three wire plug...the other two are located on the engine
ok also when i bought the car it had the same problem but I put a 98 d16 in it and it ran great but after i took out that stuff it started doing this not reving over 5 can that sensor come on and off intermitenly i forgot to metion it was doing this befor but after the new motor it was fixed then started again when I took out that stuff also there are two vacum lines coming from all that stuff that go to no where I have tried running them to the intake manifold and it das not change anthing

if your car is turboed and you haven't done anything with the ecu or your map sensor, your car will not run as soon as it shows boost, you will throw a cel and it will most likely shut off or run like ***
Dude I just blew up a GSR engine with this ****. Save up 500 bucks and take your car to a dyno. They will reprogram the ECU and tell you exactly what's wrong with it plus tune your ECU to run boost without blowing the damn engine.
