I just got a new exhaust on my car (97 Ek hatch w/ JDM b18c) and it is WAY too farty sounding. Can I get rid of that, or somewhat, with headers? If you know what I can do, please tell me!
what kind of exhuast did you put on?
Does it have a cat? Did you replace it with a test pipe?
Test pipes will help make it sound raspy sometimes.

If your exhaust has a resonator get a longer one. If you don't have one then get one I would suggest a 12" one. And any muffler shop can get you what you need.
You might want to try a resonating tip too, but be careful there is alot of junk out there.

magnaflow makes a super small race muffler. it almost looks like a resonator and its about 14-16" long.. Buy one of those from your local muffler shop, and have them cut and welt it in place on the a pipe, right where the 2 90 degree bends are before the b-pipe. it will quiet your car down considerably, and you wont loose any noticible power.. about 1-2 peak on a dyno. The noise difference is considerable.
