2001 accord Auto.... ?? why does my DASH brake light come on????
I have a 2001 honda accord with 96k on it.
Recently had all new pad, & rotors installed.
I notice that sometimes AFTER i start my car, the DASH brake like indicator is still on. I never use my ebrade since I have an auto.
Once I'm driving, sometimes it turns off & sometimes it stays on for the entire trip.

It does not affect any braking of the car... having the DASH brake light on just irriates me.

No one said the Accord dash had brakes. However, they were talking about the brake light indicator on the dash. I really don't know if you were trying to be sarcastic, but...

check your brake fluid, when it goes below a certain level the light comes on. Also, if you just changed your brakes you should probably bleed them to get any air out.

Time for Clarity?
The dashboard brake indicator can come on for several different reasons. A brake light could be out, your brake fluid could be low, the filter could be blocking venting, etc.
So top off the brake fluid, check your lights, and if there is still a problem change the filter.
So, did the TSB apply to your problem? Did it fix it?

just put electrical tape over the spot on the guage and keep on driving until you can't stop no more .. then change your brakes ..

This is the 98-02 cluster. The brake lamd indicator and the brake indicator are seperate lights. The brake indicator at the top of the cluster will not come on for a brake light out. It comes on for a fault in the system like low fluid or if the parking brake is on. The brake lamp indicator is at the bottom of the cluster below the car diagram which show open doors. It comes on for a bad bulb.
Most likely cause of the OP's problem is slightly low brake fluid or the float on the resevoir sticking. Float sticking is a pretty common problem on these cars.

What filter are you reccomending he change?
